Travis Barker's Famous Big Ripper!

Travis Barker is an incredible musician and he also loves BMX bikes! We were so stoked to connect with him in 2013 to work on a collab bike for his brand Famous Stars & Straps. Coincidentally, the Famous Stars & Straps Big Ripper was the very first bike we ever gave to Dblocks when we started sponsoring him! Dblocks even got to go to Disneyland with Travis and Todd Lyons! How crazy is that!

The Design Process

It's a trip to look back at some of the designs we kicked around with Travis when we were designing the Famous Stars & Straps Big Ripper. Some of the designs were wild and some were understated, and it was cool to narrow it down to exactly what Travis liked.

The Launch Party + Disneyland!

When it was time to launch the Famous Stars & Straps Big Ripper we held a really cool launch party at Brooklyn Projects in Los Angeles. Travis was there for an awesome meet and greet with the fans, and it was a huge hit. Just look at the line down the block! We even gave one of the bikes away to a lucky fan at the event!

We've continued to hook Travis up with SE bikes over the years because he's an awesome dude, and every now and then they show up on his social media, too. He even loaned his collection to Machine Gun Kelley who used them in his "BMXXing" music video.
