Oakley x SE Bikes

Oakley + SE = Iconic!

SE and Oakley have an incredibly deep history of working together. In fact, SE was the very first team/brand that Oakley partnered with in the '70s and '80s. SE has collaborated on two different sunglasses with Oakley: Frogskins in 2010 and the Windjacket 2 in 2019. We also created two different colorways of the Oakley x SE gloves.

The display case below was at Interbike in 2010 featuring the Oakley x SE Frogskins, Oakley x SE gloves, and Oakley B-1B grips.

Glasses & Gloves

The Oakley x SE Frogskins sunglasses that we created in 2010 were available to purchase, but the Windjacket 2.0 sunglasses in 2019 were super-limited and hard to get. Let's just say you had to know someone to score a pair! The first Oakley x SE gloves we produced were the black and blue colorway in 2010, followed by the black and gold in 2012.

Oakley & SE History

Perry Kramer, the "PK" in PK Ripper joined SE in 1978. Perry was already sponsored by Oakley so his Oakley relationship came with him. Perry said, "Oakley ended up sponsoring the SE team and from then on I've been associated with or sponsored by Oakley." Talk about roots!

Freestyle BMX legend Mike Buff also has a long history with Oakley. He said, "They helped sponsor our (BMX Action Trick Team) first tour. Working with them was great. They were a first class company. Always had the best product."

SE also has a long history of using Oakley grips on bikes. In fact, there have been Oakley grips spec'd on at least one bike in the SE line for nearly the past 20 years!
