Questions & Answers
What’s your full name?
Let's just stick with Zach Lewis for now.
What's your Instagram?
@zachslewis. My parents gave me the name so I just went with it, and it has kind of grown on me over the years. 😂
How old are you?
Four decades, a handful more years, and then add a few days in there.
Where do you live?
I split my time between the Rocky Mountains of CO and the Beaches of FL.
What’s it like riding for SE Bikes?
It's a pretty damn RAD family, and an honor & privilege to say the least.
How did you get into riding?
I started racing BMX in the mid '80s and BMX has been in my blood ever since. Probably better just to say, “Born to Ride”.
How far can you wheelie?
Not sure? Never measured, but I will pretty much backflip anything, LOL
What’s the bike life scene like where you live?
The bike life scene in CO is growing but the overall bike scene in CO is massive, and I absolutely love it. The bike life scene down in FL is off the hook in most parts of the state, and the jump scene is really damn fun, as well.
What is your favorite thing about riding?
The freedom to be yourself and the smile it brings to my heart. I love being able to just grab my bike and know it is never going to judge me. It’s just pure fun and love.
What’s the best rideout you’ve ever been on?
I would have to say either my very first ever rideout (SE Hoedown) or the Mile High Rideout in Denver. That thing is absolutely amazing. We get to start at a dirt jump park, we end at a dirt jump park, and we pass by a dirt jump park in the middle of the ride. Let’s be honest—that’s my kind of ride.
Where is your favorite place to ride?
Honestly, wherever my Dawgs are at. I absolutely love spending time with my brothers and sisters on wheels. But, I definitely love when we are playing in the dirt the most.
How many SE bikes do you currently own?
Five DJ Rippers, one PK Ripper Super Elite, and I take claim to a Fat Quad, but @beach_life_92 will tell you differently.
How many followers do you have on Instagram?
A very small amount, but they are the greatest followers around, always commenting, sharing, and spreading the love.
What is your favorite SE bike?
The DJ Ripper, of course. It’s just the most universal bike on the planet and it is by far the sexiest bike in the lineup, at least in my opinion.
Are you part of a riding crew?
I do shows with a handful of folks, but mainly the Yellow Designs Stunt Team and Shred BMX.
What is a fun fact that people may not know about you?
I love country music and grew up roping goats, LOL. All truths.
What advice would you give to someone getting into riding?
Just have fun. If you are doing that, you are doing it right.
What’s your secret to improving your riding skills?
Spending as much time behind the bars as possible and smiling. Smiling is important when riding your bicycle.
What would you be doing if you never found riding?
I would be snowboarding, skateboarding or trying to become a supermodel or superhero. LOL
Will you ever stop riding?
I sure hope not. By basic math, I have spent 98% of my life on a bike so far and hope to finish out the last 100% that way.
