$1,399.99 USD
Description

You definitely won’t get the blues while riding this blue beauty! Those color-matched blues put the DJ Ripper HD over the top this year. The frame is modeled after the legendary PK Ripper, featuring Floval tubing and a looptail rear end. And you can’t miss the tapered integrated head tube & super stiff bottom bracket yoke. The bike comes equipped with Manitou Circus Expert air compression forks that feature a 20mm thru-axle and an externally adjustable compression to lockout and rebound. For stopping power, the bike is equipped with Tektro hydraulic disc brakes. No doubt about it, the DJ Ripper HD is the most stylish and raddest dirt jumper in existence.

Our new fleet is top notch

We purchased 6 dj ripper hd's for a summer camp program. They're really fun dirt jumpers with a light and stiff frame, great welds and paint (verified by a friend who is nuclear certified for welding, and paints custom cars), decent wheels, cranks and components. The stock bars are steel so if you're really ripping they might feel a little flexy, and they do for me but for 99% of riders that will be a positive thing, damping the vibrations and impacts slightly. Brakes are adequate, The pedals are what you would expect and leave something to be desired, but the SEAT is awesome. Fully rubberized pivotal, grippy for reach arounds, seat grabs, and suey's &totally sprayable. I have thoroughly put 6 of these bikes through the ringer, riding black and double black jump trails at the riveter bike park and KOLO. Whipsnake skatepark and my own jump spot. Coming from the transition PBJ the DJ Ripper hd feels much more playful with it's light weight, higher bottom bracket, shorter top tube and wheelbase, and steeper head tube angle. I prefer the feel of the ripper and personally would like to see these sold these in frame only.
Not only do I recommend these bikes, but we got the local shop set up as a dealer because they're freakin' sweet.

Absolutely love it. Well built. Got it 50% off right before Christmas. Definitely recommend it.

Rad Flashback!

That title may seem to have some cheese on it but not this bike. How sick are these new rides?! It does everything well especially if your want to get around some dirt jumps, dowhill with relative ease, or pimp it at the camp grounds. The HD DJ has it everywhere it counts, great geometry, comfortable ride, all sealed bearings and nostalgia for miles. The only less than stellar part was the pedals. Heck the front fork almost covered the bill when I bought this BA 26" goat on sale before Christmas. If it were white I'd throw a swatch sticker on it and you could call me Matt Hoffman. That's right, as a child of the 80's I grew up on these sweet rides but my parents wouldn't spring for the cash of a PK. Instead the blue max was under the Christmas tree, but not this year folks. I finally got the PK of my dreams!! The only thing which sucked was one of the 45 years of radness donuts was ripped and yes I was gentle when putting it on. Otherwise stellar ride, great job SE!!

amazing bike

I just got this bike and I am in love with it.I really like the hydraulic brakes they aren't super sensitive but for wheelie they are perfect. the colors are amazing and it really stands out.I also love how soft the shocks are. they are really soft and comfy which also makes it easy to pop wheelie. IN my opinion I would rate this bike a solid 9.5/10 the one thing I think could improve is the back brakes they could be a bit more sensitive other than that the bike is amazing

Absolutely gorgeous!

I grew up in the 70’s/80’s when BMX was life. I still love and appreciate anything with two wheels. I went to my local bike shop to get my son a new ride. When I saw the DJ Ripper, it was like the heavens opened up. Nothing else in the shop mattered. Both versions of this bike are works of art. We settled on the HD because for a hundred bucks more, you’re getting a superior fork. The highly rated Manitou Circus Expert is a proven winner. The frame tubing, welds, paintwork are all top notch. The blue anodized hubs, wheels, sprocket really make it pop. Aside from adding some rear pegs, there isn’t much you’ll want to do in the way of mods. It’s set up really nice from the factory The overall build quality is fantastic.
Even though it’s a dirt jumper, you can rock this bike on the streets while looking Rad. Wheelies are no problem. To be honest, since almost every kid around my neighborhood has an SE bike, I was looking for something a little different. This bike completely turned that notion around. I will 100% recommend this to anyone that wants a beautiful bike to take to the track or rip wheelies down the block.
