What’s your full name? 
Ryne Mills, aka @BeachmodeBlocks. 🏝️🚲💨 I was trying to figure out a name for my bicycle IG and I rode the beach everyday. Right around that same time, the Beast Mode Ripper came out, so I figured it sounded cool and mashed it. Midwest boy moving to Huntington Beach... I was instantly obsessed with the beach and consuming its boardwalks. Therefore, Beachmode was born!

How old are you?
Just turned 31 years old in June.

Where do you live?
Surf City, aka Huntington Beach, California. 

What’s it like riding for SE Bikes?
It’s a real blessing to be able to represent Scott Breithaupt, the founder of old school BMX! The family I’ve gained through this experience will be with me for life. When it’s “bike life” we mean it! 

How did you get into bike life?
Living in Milwaukee, WI nine years ago, I got back into cycling with a mountain bike to hit trails and shark around the city. I saw DBlocks' Facebook videos and said, “I'm'a do that.” The rest is history.

How far can you wheelie?
Until my arms fall off.

What’s the bike life scene like where you live?
So Cal is an absolute Mecca for bike life. It’s very average for a weekend ride to have 300-500 people traveling anywhere from 4+ hours to come ride sunny So Cal; 67 degrees, 365 days a year.

What is your favorite thing about bike life? 
Easy: the memories.

What’s the best rideout you’ve ever been on?
The San Fran ride last year. First time in the Bay on the bike. So scenic—everywhere you look is a postcard.

Where is your favorite place to ride?
Venice/Santa Monica. It’s California's carnival by the beach, and I’m just trying to clown around all day on my bike.

How many SE bikes do you currently own?
Eleven: Dblocks Big Ripper (2), Blocks Flyer, Los Angeles Big Ripper, Vans Big Ripper, Fast Ripper (3), Monster Ripper, Lager (2).

How many followers do you have on Instagram?
30K, but I’d rather have family than followers, ya' dig? 

What is your favorite SE bike and why?
Fast Ripper: light with mad control. It’s just perfectly dialed!

Are you part of a riding crew?
Cycle Squad Maniaccs. 

What is a fun fact that people may not know about you?
I’ve been vegan for six years and I'm never looking back. I’m on a plant-powered pedaling mission.

What advice would you give to someone getting into bike life today?
Make memories and have fun. At the end of the day, that’s all that matters.

What’s your secret to improving your riding skills?
Consistency. Practice makes progress.

What would you be doing if you never found bike life?
Already predetermined. Not riding was never an option.

Will you ever stop riding?
When I’m dead. ☠️
